Provost attributes its growth to hiring professionals who understand K-12.

SANTA CLARA , CA - Feb 7, 2007 - Provost Systems, the premier provider of administrative and academic solutions for charter schools, has expanded its sales team with the addition of Matthew Abel, as Director of Sales. The hire of Matthew Abel is part of Provost Systems' expansion and the opening of Provost Systems' Pittsburgh, PA office.

"The addition of Matthew Abel, will expand our reach and ability to better serve our customers in the northeast."

In his new role as Director of Sales, Matthew Abel will be responsible for driving sales and marketing for Provost Systems. As a former Blackboard Sales Manager and high school math teacher, Matthew brings over 10 years of e-learning and education experience to Provost Systems. Most recently, Matthew was Global Sales Manager for APICS, the Association for Operations Management, where he helped bring online supply chain management certification programs to Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to APICS, Matthew Abel was Sales Manager for Blackboard's K-12 division where he was responsible for key accounts in the northeast region. Matthew taught high school math at Cornell High School in Pennsylvania, and has a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a M.S. in Mathematics from Duquesne University.
